Welcome to Sage & Honey! We are Michelle and Kat Tomsich, a mother-daughter duo from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and we are so excited to bring you into our world. We have both always enjoyed reading, and love discussing our favorite books over a nice cup of tea or coffee. After learning about the existence of book-cafés in North Carolina, Illinois, and New York, we knew a book-café was exactly what the Village needed.
People think reading is a solitary activity, but any bookworm will tell you that part of the fun is talking about your most recent read with friends, family, or even strangers. That’s not to mention all the book-themed merch you can buy– for yourself, your loved ones, and even… your pets. Most of these purchases and discussions happen online, but at Sage & Honey, we wanted to make this virtual space into a physical one.
Michelle
Hi! I am Michelle Tomsich. I married my husband John, an Ohio native, and moved to the Chagrin Falls area in 2001 from central Kentucky. From an early age, I have had a lifelong love of books and dreamed of owning a brick and mortar store. Life took a few twists and turns (from managing a multi-state, multi-million dollar region for a national company, having 4 kids and running my own event planning/promotional item distributorship for 18 years), but I am finally achieving my dream.
Kat
I’m Kat and I was raised in Chagrin Falls Ohio. I went to college at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and graduated in 2024 with a degree in English & French. After coming back from college, I instantly missed all the relaxing work spaces that a college campus provides, and I wanted to make a new “hang out” spot for my hometown where people come to read a good book, talk with friends, or even just sit with a cup of tea or coffee. I hope to see you at Sage & Honey soon!

We have so many bee-utiful faces working at Sage & Honey, many of which run their own clubs and events! Here are just a few members of our hive that you're likely to meet.
Lexi
Miss Lexi not only one of our lead baristas, but a Co-Leader of the "Shelf Help" book club, where members dive into all kinds of self-help books to better their minds and bodies. Lexi loves a feel-good romance, suspenseful novels, and anything true crime. But if those aren't your style, Lexi is also an expert on which of our baked goods will satisfy your sweet tooth!
Anna
Don't know what to drink? Anna's your girl! She's not only the Queen Bee of finding you your new favorite coffee or tea order, but she's also the leader of Hopeless Romantics: a Romance Fan Club. Anna loves books about charming cowboys, flirty firefighters, and broody millionaires, but she's not afraid to throw some handsome Fae warriors in there as well. And don't forget to ask her about her puppy, Moose!
Alex
Amazing Alex is another one of our baristas, AND a talented gymnast. If that wasn't enough, she also leads the "Shelf-Help" book club with Lexi. Alex is a big fan of anything speculative and experimental– whether that be poetry, introspective fiction, or horror. She's also committed to becoming a latte artist, so make sure to check your drink to see if she makes you something special!
Hunter
Hunter is our sweet & hilarious event coordinator who has read everything under the sun! Her main genres are thriller, romantasy, and adult fiction, but she's dabbled in young adult and sci-fi as well. She is the co-chair of the Romantasy Book Club, co-host of the Honeycombs & Hardcovers podcast, and is the proud leader of Momma Bees: A Mom Support Group. Hunter is a pro at book recommendations, so if you're in a slump, she's your gal.
